Comma Splices
The comma splice is one of the most common grammatical errors. A comma splice occurs when two independent clauses are joined by a comma alone without the coordinating conjunction (and, but, or, nor, so, or yet) that must accompany the comma. A comma splice is a run-on sentence that has a comma but is missing a conjunction.
