Run-on Sentences

A run-on sentence occurs when two or more complete sentences are joined together without the use of conjunctions and proper punctuation.

Example

To fix a run-on sentence, use a comma and a conjunction (and, but, or) to join the two sentences together as in the sentence above. Another way to fix a run-on sentence is by joining the sentences with a semi-colon instead of with a comma and a conjunction.
