Simple Predicate and Compound Predicate

The simple predicate is the most important word or words in the complete predicate. The simple predicate is always a verb.

A sentence can have a compound predicate. A compound predicate is two or more verbs that are joined by a conjunction (and, or) and that share the same subject.
