To, Too, Two

The words to, too, and two sound the same but have different meanings and spellings. To can be a preposition that means “in the direction of.” To can also be used with a verb to form an infinitive, as in the sentence “They plan to rebuild the house.” Too is an adverb and means “also” or “excessively.” Two means the number two.
